Livelihood WHRC
LIVELIHOOD
Assisting in Creating Income Sources for Every Household
Sewing Machine Training and Distribution:
WHRC has successfully trained and distributed free sewing machines to 33 women across three batches, helping them develop a source of income.
Sustainable Livelihoods through Farming:
We ensure sustainable livelihoods by blending traditional and modern farming technologies for better yields. This involves active participation from villagers and farmers, empowering them to make decisions and improve their agricultural practices.
- As part of our support to tribal and marginalized families in Adilabad District, WHRC and EF provided 3 months of sewing machine training to 100 identified women. Each participant received a free sewing machine in collaboration with SRTRI, Nalgonda, Govt. of TS.
- This financial year, 27 women received training in Zardozi work on apparels through a partnership with SRTRI.
Program Goals:
Our program aims to help underprivileged women, particularly daily wage laborers, earn a sustainable livelihood. These women often earn very low incomes from hard labor, which is insufficient for a decent living. We assist by providing three months of tailoring training and distributing sewing machines to 30 women. Your donations are utilized to train a woman in tailoring for three months.
Support from WHRC:
WHRC provides free training to poor, BPL, and underprivileged women. Annually, we train 100 women. We appeal to donors to support or sponsor the training for these women. The costs include:
- Salaries to staff—Rs 15,000 x 3 months = Rs 45,000
- Rent—Rs 7,000 x 3 months = Rs 21,000
- Materials used for training—Rs 15,000
- Sewing Machines for distribution—Rs 10,000 x 30 members = Rs 300,000
